Online Bible Classes
In order to fully educate students in the articles of the Christian faith, Calvary Online School offers a series of Online Bible Courses. These courses are designed to familiarize students with biblical studies as well as tenets of the Christian faith.

Old Testament Survey
- Prerequisites: None
- Length: One semester
- Availability: Fall
This course is a survey of the Hebrew Bible from Genesis to Malachi. Students learn the composition, authorship, historical context, literary and theological content of the Old Testament as well as the study of major themes such as the revelation of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament scriptures.

This course is a a survey of the New Testament scriptures from The Gospel According to Matthew to The Apocalypse of John. Students learn the composition, authorship, historical context, literary and theological content of the New Testament as well as the study of major themes.

This course covers all of the major tenets of the Christian faith, both historical and contemporary in an analysis of major themes such as: the definition of “Christian,” Christian diversity, baptism, communion, and other topics.
Back to the TopOld Testament Independent Study
- Prerequisites: None
- Length: One semester
- Availability: Year Round
In this course, students read a daily selection of scripture from the Old Testament. They then consider the passage in light of several topics of response, and formulate a paragraph response for each topical response to the daily passage. These two daily paragraphs are posted to a forum for grading. In addition, students combine their topical responses into a final, cumulative reflection paper where they discuss the various topics of study and reflect upon their learning. Topics of response include, but are not limited to: theological approach, historical approach, spiritual living approach, relevance to today approach, among other topics.

This course is a study of major world religions including Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, and Islam as well as emerging world views such as secular humanism, agnosticism, and atheism. Students study universal themes such as suffering, evil, morality, concepts of deity, and the afterlife.

- Prerequisites: None
- Length: One semester
- Availability: Spring
This course is a study of the people of God, beginning with the Israelite election, through the grafting in of the Gentiles, and the worldwide spread of the church through the ages into the modern era. In addition to the traditional emphasis on European church history, the course gives ample attention to the spread of the church in other regions of the world, both historically and contemporary.
